Thomasina Wharton is smiling in front of a stone wall. The Center for Wellbeing, directed by Thomasina Wharton, serves as an intentional sanctuary for spiritual growth, contemplation, and mindful community. Rooted in the belief that inner life deeply informs how we live and move in the world, the Center offers a diverse rhythm of reflective practices, seasonal retreats, and communal gatherings designed to nurture wholeness at every stage of life.

Core Offerings and Practices

  • Spiritual Direction One-on-one companioning that offers a dedicated, confidential space to explore your spiritual journey, deepen your relationship with the sacred, and discern meaning in everyday life transitions and inner longings.
  • Group Dreamwork Facilitated circles that explore the symbolic language and wisdom of dreams. Through gentle inquiry and shared reflection, participants learn to listen to the subconscious, integrate inner insights, and uncover personal and collective meaning.
  • Eldership & Wisdom Circles (80+ Groups) Specialized small groups created for individuals in their eighties and beyond. These gatherings provide a sacred, supportive environment to reflect on the inner work of aging, share life stories, navigate transitions, and celebrate the unique wisdom and spiritual depth of later life.

Seasonal Retreats & Contemplative Walking

  • Advent Walking Retreats: Dedicated seasonal offerings that combine quiet, mindful movement with contemplative reflection, inviting participants to slow down, embrace stillness, and prepare heart and mind amid the winter transition.
  • Lenten Retreats: Immersive, reflective gatherings designed for the season of Lent, creating space for personal renewal, intentional silence, guided prayer, and deep spiritual recalibration.
  • Seasonal Gatherings & Workshops: Year-round events—including creative reflective arts (such as SoulCollage®), guided meditations, and lecture series—focused on cultivating presence, resilience, and spiritual discovery.

The Center for Wellbeing warmly invites seekers from all walks of life—whether looking for quiet discernment in spiritual direction, communal wisdom in peer circles, or restorative time on a seasonal walking retreat—to pause, listen deeply, and reconnect with what matters most.
