The Church of the Redeemer is a community of 700 households in Northern Baltimore who strive to worship, care, serve and grow in Christ’s name. We welcome all those who, like us, search for a sense of the sacred, a sense of belonging, and a sense of being part of something larger than ourselves. Redeemer is our spiritual home, a place where we offer our time, talents, and treasure to help in the healing of the human family, and the whole world.
Begin
Worship
Redeemer offers a variety of worship styles that reflect the diversity of the parish, while remaining faithful to Episcopal traditions. Music is an integral part of our worship. We are blessed to offer traditional and contemporary music programs of outstanding quality.
Connect
Throughout our lives we continue to search, question, and learn as we explore and deepen our faith. At a large place like Redeemer, we get to know each other in small groups. Thoughtful programs engage and stimulate members of all ages.
Serve
Redeemer’s life and mission is linked to Baltimore and the world. We engage with the community through volunteer time and financial support, in programs that provide crucial services such as food, clothing, shelter, education and jobs.
First Visit
Where Do I Go?
The 10:00am service is a good one to start with. Plenty of parking is available next to the church and across Melrose Avenue. You will be greeted at the door, and ushers are available to help and guide you.
What Do I Wear?
Whatever makes you comfortable. Some members get more dressed up, some less.
What About My Kids?
Children are a vital part of our community. For young children a fully staffed nursery is available. Children are welcome in our services at all times – our worship is enhanced by the joyful sounds of our smaller members. They may also participate in one of our Sunday School programs.
Feel free to ask an usher for help finding the nursery. For questions about our Children’s programs, email The Rev. Rebecca Ogus
Will I be Welcome at Communion?
Everyone regardless of age or background is welcome to join in Communion.
