Common Ground on the Hill presents: Joyce J. Scott

One of Baltimore’s most important and influential artists, Joyce J. Scott is celebrated for her visual arts, but also excels as a gospel/blues/jazz singer, performer, writer and educator. Scott has been the recipient of myriad prestigious honors from institutions such as the National Endowment for the Arts, the Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation, and the American Craft Council. She was named a 2016 MacArthur Fellow (aka “Genius Award”). Joyce will be joined by Derrick Thompson and Lorrainne Whittlesey. Her trademark penetrating humor, incisive storytelling skills, and powerhouse vocals make an evening with Joyce Scott one you will be sure to remember!
